How Uncallable works

Uncallable is a simple service that upgrades the prerecorded voicemail on a US mobile number to an interactive AI. Instead of a voicemail greeting, callers get an AI that can screen calls, send appointment links, take a message and notify you with a summary text, like an executive assistant.

Setup takes less than five minutes through a phone call or SMS exchange, with no app or portal to navigate.

How to get set up

1. Call or text from your number. Contact our setup AI at (415) 943-1040 from the mobile number you want to use.
2. Choose the name in your greeting. Our AI will ask for a name to use when it greets callers.
3. Try the caller experience. You’ll receive an SMS with a link and a trial phone number to call. Try it yourself to hear what callers will experience.
4. Pay when you’re satisfied. Use the payment link in the text to activate your plan.
5. Receive your dedicated AI number. After payment, another SMS gives you your AI’s new dedicated phone number and the swapping and activation instructions.
6. Dial the activation code. Enter the carrier-specific activation command in your phone’s calling app and press Call.
7. Let your AI answer missed calls. You’re all set. The next time someone calls and you don’t answer, the call goes to your AI.
8. Switch back when you want. Dial the deactivation code to turn forwarding off, then check your original voicemail with a missed test call.

What happens once you're set up

When you don't answer, the call forwards to your AI after your carrier's configured ring interval. It asks who is calling and why. As soon as the call is over, your AI sends you a summary by SMS.

How to change your AI's behavior

Call or text your AI's dedicated number from your registered phone number. It recognizes you as the creator, rather than an outside caller. Tell it what you would like to change.
